The Safari Chair was designed in 1933 by Danish designer Kaare Klint, inspired by the Roorkhee military chair. Klint adopted its simple, portable design, improving ergonomics while retaining the idea of easy, tool-free assembly.
Kaare Klint was a pioneer of Danish modernism, influencing generations of designers.
